Our animals enjoy the sunshine and open pastures as much as possible year round! However, when we are met with harsh weather and cold winter temperatures, they are given proper shelter from the elements.
Our use of rotational grazing and sustainable management allows our cows and sheep to graze on pasture year round. During the winter months when the pasture is not able to support 100% of their dietary needs, they are suplemented with grass and alfalfa hay. Our cows and sheep never receive any grain or other non-grass feed.
The animals are given the time that they need to produce milk, meat, and eggs that are healthy and sustainable. We do not force them to make food faster than nature allows. We do not use steroids or hormones. (Federal regulations prohibit the use of hormones and steroids in poultry.)
Our livestock are given every opportunity to live a natural and healthy lifestyle. The fresh pasture and sunshine allow them to heal themselves and hold off disease. If an animal does contract a disease, we treat them with natural remedies to boost their immune systems. We do not administer vaccines, antibiotics, or other conventional medicine to our animals.
All of our animals are raised without the use of feeds containing genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) such as GMO corn or soybeans. Non-GMO also means glyphosate is never used on the grains we feed our animals.
Pigs, chickens, and turkeys are given a naturally high energy diet. In nature these animals would forage for grains, nuts, and seeds. The high energy of these feeds allow them to remain healthy and produce healthy foods. Our pigs, chickens and turkeys are raised on green pasture and fed a grain ration that is GMO-free and glyphosate-free. This grain ration offers balanced levels of protein and energy for a natural, healthy diet.
None of our products contain added MSG.
We leave our products as natural as we can and do not homogenize our milk. When you see the cream settled on top of our milk, you know that you are getting the best of Grass Corp.!
Our dairy products remain in their natural, raw, unpasteurized state.
